Evan's First Haircut

I thought Evan would bawl his head off when we put the clippers to his head, but he did great! He just sat there and tried to play with the hair that was falling to the ground. His hair was getting a little fuzzy for our liking so we decided to experiment and buzz it off. I think it looks pretty cute...just like a bald baby!

Well, I thought I had Tom fooled. My plan was working so great. But then, it backfired on me. I think for the past 6 months, I have been using a "negotiating" tool to get Tom to help me with certain household chores or to help with the kids.
OLD way of asking for help: "Will you do the dishes?" (Tom would say,"I just did them a few days ago." or some sort of eye rolling or whining....I'm sure all you wives out there are familiar with this!) "Will you change Jordyn's diaper?" (Tom: "It's your turn." or "I'm busy.")
NEW way of asking for help: "Would you rather do the dishes OR change Evan and Jordyn's diaper?" (then followed by eyes rolling and "Change the diapers.") Do you want to give Jordyn a bath or Evan a bath?" (followed by Tom saying,"Evan")
Giving a choice between two things to do was working great! Of course he always chose the slightly easier task, but oh well, it was getting done. So finally, after months and months of my evil plot, he finally picked up on it and the other day he said this as we were in the kitchen,"What would you rather do, unload the dishwasher or load it?" AND later "Would you rather feed the kids their snack or get them both dressed for bed?"
(sigh) I guess it was great while it lasted.

For LOST Fans!

Well, if you don't watch the TV show LOST, this post will be pretty boring for you to read. But, I couldn't resist getting the opinions of other people and what they thought of the season finale last night. First of all, I couldn't believe it was actually 2 HOURS long! They have never done that before and I was so excited!
So here are my questions and theories:
  • Who is Naomi working for and is she good or bad?
  • Is Ben telling the truth that everyone will die if they phone for help and that he has been blocking the signal this whole time to save everyone? (I actually think Ben may be telling the truth, at least to some extent. I don't really know WHY they don't want them to call the boat, maybe the people on the boat are bad?)
  • Is Walt still on the island, or was Locke "imagining" him?
  • How does Locke get healed and out of the ditch?
  • Is Kate pregnant? (I think she is.)
  • How did Penelope (Penny) show up on the computer screen in the underwater hatch? She would have had to have access to their computer system.... is she involved with the island and "the others".
  • And what in the WORLD was going on during the last 5 min. or so?.... Who was Kate talking about when she said,"I better go, he'll be wondering where I'm at."? (possibly a child? ... if she was pregnant? Or Sawyer, if they are together.) ... is Jack's father really dead? (he says,"Go get my father etc..." when talking to the new doctor)
  • Who is in the casket? (I got on the messageboards and numerous people noticed that the coffin was shorter than normal. Also, they said that the newspaper clipping said something about a man hanging himself in a loft apt. So, the theory is that it is Locke.... he came back from the island (was forced to) and the "magic powers" of the island were gone and he was paralyzed again.... and possibly had to amputate his legs (explains the short coffin) and decided to kill himself because of his legs. I think it could make sense!
  • My theory about Kate and Jack being off the island is that either the "others" or whoever is on the rescue boat, lets some of them going home (for whatever reason!) but that some have to stay. Those who go home are threatened that if they tell anyone, those on the island will be killed. That is why Jack says he is sick of lieing and wants to go back... to rescue those left behind. That is my pitiful excuse of a theory!

So, what did you think? I can't wait to hear what your theories and questions are too. So many questions and now we have to wait so long....

Latest Happenings...

Is it already time to blog again? Well, the only thing Tom and I have been doing the past two weeks is praying and talking ALOT. Wonder what I'm talking about? Well, to make a LONG story short... Tom happened upon a great job in Boise, had an interview, got offered a job, and is now negotiating a salary. They told us they would call Fri. (they didn't call!) or Mon. So here we are just waiting..... I hate waiting! I think I have done more research on the internet these past two weeks than I have ever done in my life! We are pretty excited and I'll let Tom blog about it more when we get the final word on Monday.

Picture 1: Evan playing in the rocks on our back patio. He loves throwing them. He actually loves throwing any kind of round object. He is actually pretty good at tossing and throwing now!
Picture 2: Jordyn and Evan in their new carseats. I special ordered Jordyn's car seat about a month ago and we finally got it yesterday. It is a special needs seat that will hold up to 105 pounds and has all kinds of padding and contraptions to help kids who need extra support sitting. I thought that Jordyn's previous car seat was huge (the one Evan upgraded to) but this new seat is a monstrosity! When I pulled it out of the huge box, I just started laughing and wondering how this was going to fit in the car! Well, it fits, but not much else fits in the back seat besides Jordyn and Evan. Jordyn looks like she is sitting in a La-Z-Boy recliner! She loves it.
Not sure if you can see very well, but Jordyn has a large amount of bruises on her left leg. They just started to appear one day and it took us a good week to figure out what was causing them! I know, pretty crazy. People kept asking us what happened and we'd say,"Ummm, we don't know!" and then they would stare at us like we were wierd or something. Luckily her school didn't think we were abusing her! So, we finally figured out she was kicking herself when she was mad! Jordyn has a very bad habit of kicking her right leg when she is angry and now she just started using her right leg to kick her other leg. But, unfortunately, even though she is hurting herself, she just can't figure out how to stop doing it. She has also started pulling out her hair too! I know.... poor little Jordyn! Another thing she does when she is mad is to rub the side of her head with her hand (it's hard to explain!) and her fingers get caught in her hair and pulls some of it out. This morning I found quite a large gob of hair in her bed! So far, it isn't enough to even notice and I'm hoping it stays that way!
Picture 3: Somehow Evan got into the tub of oatmeal and dumped it out! Luckily the tub was pretty close to being empty! I was in the other room and I was wondering why it was so quiet. I still can't figure out how he got the tub in the first place AND got the lid off. He is really getting into stuff lately. He also got into and dumped out a whole box of my organized photos.
Picture 4: Kids playing outside.

Other happenings: This quarter at school, Tom discovered a scholarship for students where you choose two books you want and write an essay on why you want them. Yep, that's it! You can choose any book you want as long as it's not a college text book or having to do with your major. The whole point is to be able to read books to "expand your horizons". You have a limit of $200 and you can also apply for it every quarter. For some reason, no one really knows about this scholarship....Tom JUST found out about it his very LAST quarter and he has been going there for almost 3 years! Just imagine, he could have recieved 24 FREE books by now. (sigh) Oh well, I guess 2 free books is better then none. Tom had one book he wanted and was nice enough to pick a book I wanted too! He chose "Start Your Own Business" and I chose "The Best Light Recipe". I love my book. It's written by America's Test Kitchen or Cook's Illustrated Magazine. And it's all light recipes! I love America's Test Kitchen but sometimes it's hard to make a lot of their recipes because they are extremely high in fat... they LOVE their butter! So this is perfect! And just my luck, today's episode on TV they were making 2 recipes out of my new book! They made light versions of Mac and Cheese and Chicken Parmesan. I can't wait to try out a new recipe now.
PS: Anyone else TOTALLY excited for the LOST season finale this week? I can't wait!

School Photo & School Program

Well, as you can see, Jordyn did not enjoy taking her school photo! She was crying almost the whole time and paused just long enough for them to snap a picture of her. At least we can have a good laugh about it now! Last year when Jordyn took her first school photo, I was very skeptical and insisted on looking at the photos first before buying them. And they did a pretty great job! So this year I figured it would be the same thing..... guess not! But, it's not the photographers fault. It was the very end of the school day and Jordyn was grumpy and tired... the timing was just really bad. Oh well, I guess we will try again in the fall!

Yesterday Jordyn's school had their annual Spring Musical. This year the theme was "Boogie Down on the Farm". It was very cute and Jordyn did a great job! Her class sang "BINGO" and "I Like Potatoes". Then all of the classes sang "Old McDonald Had a Farm" at the end of the program. Jordyn's teachers told me that during the practice she always smiles and claps her hands for Old McDonald. And sure enough, by the end of Old McDonald she was smiling and clapping. It's pretty fun to see Jordyn recognize something she likes. (Jordyn's class below)

It's Official!

I am officially running the St. George Marathon on October 6, 2007! Even more exciting, I will be running it with my brothers, Joel and David, and my sister, Susan!
You have to get chosen for the marathon through a "lottery" and we found out this morning that we all got in. My grandpa, aunt, and uncle all live in St. George, so we are excited to see family at the same time.
I think I am still in shock that I actually decided to do a marathon. When I started running a year ago, I told several people that I would NEVER do a marathon. And slowly I began to change my mind. First I decided to run a 5 mile race, then a 9 mile race, and then I figured I might as well do a half-marathon (still trying to find one to do near Spokane!). So, I figured if I could run a half-marathon, I might as well run a full marathon!
It also seems like running a marathon is a right of passage to be considered a "real" runner. Once I have ran a marathon, I think I will feel like I have accomplished such a HUGE goal and then I can finally tell people that I have done one!

I haven't been able to think of anything interesting to blog about lately. So, I guess that means it's a good time to post some recent photos of the kids!

This is Jordyn's new trick. She puts her hands together
and then puts them over her head. This is quite an
accomplishment for her and she seems to enjoy doing
it too! She is actually very close to sitting up on her own now!
Well, she CAN sit on her own (If you get her situated in a
good sitting position and then slowly let go of her) for about
5-10 seconds. I guess I just assumed she would never be able to
sit independantly for long periods of time,
but now it is slowly becoming a real possibility. I guess
we should never really give up on certain goals for Jordyn
because you never know what she will be able to accomplish!

Jordyn's new haircut. We always crack up when Jordyn smiles.
She has to show as many teeth as she can! We also like to call
this photo "Book Worm".

More photos...

I just thought this pic. was funny. This is a way to get
a good look at Evan's teeth I guess!

Gotta love the precious "sleeping pictures".
He fell asleep on the couch in this photo.

Time For a Little Change

It seems like I have gotten hooked on making changes lately. Not huge changes... just small ones.

  • Going Green: With all of the "going green" media coverage and Earth Day on Sunday, it got me thinking about how I can help the environment. I also watched the Oprah episode last week on "going green". And whatever Oprah says, I will obediently follow.... haha! So when Tom got home that night, I informed him of some small changes we would be making to help improve our planet:
  • Recycle: Can you believe we have never recycled before? Our apts. even have nice recycling bins by the garbage and I have never put anything in them! So this week I happily took out the garbage and was smiling to myself as I tossed some cardboard and milk cartons into the recycling bins.
  • Energy: We bought some of the Energy Smart Light Bulbs to help save money and energy. We are pretty excited to see if it even makes a small dent in our electric bill. I have also been trying really hard to turn off the lights when I leave a room and to leave the shades open during the day instead of turning lights on.
  • Diapers: We are going to start using cloth diapers..... YEAH RIGHT! I don't think I could ever do that in a million years. If the kids have a stinky diaper, we were wrapping them up in a plastic bag and tossing them in our garbage. So, I decided we should start using the actual "diaper garbage" in the kids' room and then return the Walmart bags to the store... where they recycle them.
  • I have also contemplated buying natural cleaning products. I will have to look into how much they cost. On Oprah they talked about how toxic cleaning products can affect kids who have asthma. Evan is very susceptible to getting asthma because of his premature lung issues.
  • Just a few of the names Tom has been calling me this week: Mother Earth, Mother Nature, Al Gore, Sheryl Crow, and health nut.

  • Organizing: I went to a Relief Society activity a few weeks ago on how to organize your home. I definitely needed the advice and took away a few things that I wanted to try right away. I haven't been totally diligent with these new ideas, but I'm getting better.
  • Wipe out your refrigerator every time you go grocery shopping. Your fridge is usually pretty empty when you go shopping so it's easy to quickly wipe it down. Ever notice how much nicer it looks when there isn't dry food or sticky stuff all over the place?
  • Make your bed every morning right when you wake up. I know, some of you prob. have done this since you were little. But, I had cool parents and I don't remember them ever making me make my bed! Having your bed made just makes the room look nicer... in a very easy way!
  • Never go to bed with dirty dishes in the sink. Waking up to dirty dishes makes you start the day off in bad mood!

  • Food: This week I've been reading a book I got at the library, "So What Can I Eat?", about how to easily follow the "Dietary Guidelines for Americans" or "My Pyramid". I have never really counted calories or even payed too much attention to food groups. So this book is very interesting to me and has got me thinking about what areas of the food pyramid I need improvement in.
  • As some of you know, one of my very fav. things to do now is cook. And even though we have been trying to eat healthy, as Tom mentioned in his last post, we do have our "free days". So I decided this week that I needed to try cooking some very classic foods that I have just never tried before. Yesterday we made steamed artichokes ( is that a classic food?). This weekend I am making homemade cinnamon rolls. And next week I want to try and make fried chicken. I have only been seriously cooking for a little over a year, so I still have a lot to learn! When I think back to when we first got married, I was extremely picky when it came to food and cooking. I have come a long way in things I will try. I used to NEVER use fresh onions, peppers, garlic, mushrooms, or a lot of vegetables. Now I can't imagine NOT using them! We are even starting to use more tomatoes in our recipes!
  • Another thing I have been trying the past couple of months is baking bread every Saturday. I was getting frustrated that I couldn't find a really healthy, cheap, and tasty bread at the store. So I got the idea to make my own! I bought a book on Amazon called "The Breadman's Healthy Bread Book". (the author is originally from Bozeman, MT) It is an awesome book. I use my bread machine so they are super easy to make! So far we have tried 100% Whole Wheat, Apricot Nut, Blueberry Lemon, Honey Banana Whole Wheat, Italian Herb, and Apple Walnut. Almost all of them are 100% whole wheat recipes and extremely healthy! There is nothing like the smell of home baked bread!

  • I wonder what new thing I will want to try next. But, you know how it goes... you get all kinds of ideas in your head and then you don't stick with them for very long! I guess we will see how long I will keep up my new changes.

Random Things

I didn't have much to do today so I thought I would sit down and blog about what we've been up to lately.

  • Does anyone else feel like they are hardly ever really"busy"? (You are probabaly laughing and thinking,"Huh?") I guess it might only apply to stay-at-home moms or those who don't work.... otherwise you would be busy with work most of the time. I have had a very uneventful week and just haven't had much to do. Don't get me wrong, I do keep occupied with the kids and housework! It seems like every other mom I talk to is saying how "busy" and "crazy" their day/week was. And I am always thinking,"Hmmm, I haven't had one of those days in a long time." (But, I do have them occasionally!) Well, maybe that is a sign that I need to find more things to do! I find the hardest time is when the kids are asleep and I can't go anywhere. I hate to waste time with TV or taking a nap (if I don't really need one). I guess I usually get on the internet or clean something. Anyways, hope you don't think I'm a lazy bum now! I should find some sort of "project" to work on around the house... any ideas?
  • Tom and I were both really sick over the weekend.... at the exact same time with the exact same symptoms. We either got food poisoning or some stomach virus. (I'll spare you the details.) It was terrible because usually one of you is sick and the other takes care of the other one and the kids... but neither of us could do that! But, we are finally better now. Except, now Jordyn has it... or something similar. Luckily she didn't have it at the same time as us which would have been BAD. We were up last night at 3am cleaning up vomit! SO fun! But today she is doing better and hasn't gotten sick again.
  • Last night Tom and I went to a meeting for teachers and parents of special needs kids, age preschool to 21. I always get flyers for meetings, etc... but just have never gone. So I decided we were going to finally go to one! I am really glad we did. The school district put the meeting on and had a panel of parents who have special needs kids. They also had a special speaker, a girl from Spokane, named Logan Olsen, who started a magazine for disabled girls. Their story is amazing and her and her mom are very inspiring. Check out her story and website... http://www.loganmagazine.com
The panel talked about everything from recreation, to guardianship, special needs services, school, play groups, and many other state or local programs. It was very interesting and I loved hearing the backgrounds of all of the families. I think most of all, it was extremely motivating! They talked over and over about being your child's advocate and never taking NO as an answer from anyone! I will definately be going to more meetings in the future!
  • This weekend Tom and I are watching "the kids". Our babysitting group is still holding on strong!
  • Susan and I have started training for our sprint triathlon. I think we have about 8 weeks left. This Saturday we are running the "Bloomsday Run" course for practice, before Susan runs that race in 2 weeks. I have never seen the course, but everyone talks about part of the course called"Doomsday Hill"..... can't wait to see how bad it is. We also found some cool triathlon classes at the YMCA. You pay $6 for each class and you do however many you want. Depending on the day, the coaches help you with swimming, biking, or running tips. So, we will probably attend a few of those classes before the race.

So, that's my life for now!

Lil' Rascal

Evan is turning into a little rascal! It's actually pretty funny. I absolutely love when Evan discovers something new... even something naughty. Because of Jordyn being developmentally delayed, Tom and I have a totally different perspective when Evan learns something new. I'm sure you can imagine how greatful we are that he is able to do even the smallest things. The milestones just seem to be even more incredible than normal. (And at the same time, it leaves a little ache in your heart because you are always wondering,"I wonder what Jordyn would look like doing that?" Or "I wonder what she would sound like.") I am also always in shock that he can figure certain things out! How do kids learn these things? And of course I want to brag to everyone, but I'm sure they don't think it's as exciting as I do! Anyway, I caught a few photos of Evan "learning" some new things:

Evan getting stuck under the kitchen chair. It took him
a little practice to finally figure out how to get out!

This was a bigger mess than Evan's 1st Birthday cake.
Can't wait for when he starts throwing food!

I was watching the kids one day (ok, and watching TV
at the same time) and it got really quiet. The kids were
hiding by the side of the couch and somehow got the lid off
the snacks and were shoveling them in their mouths as
fast as they could!

Evan literally licking his plate clean.

Happy Easter!

Hope everyone had a great Easter Sunday! We had a great morning at church and then went over to the Kovich's house for lunch. We had some great food (ham, twice baked potatoes, rolls, fruit salad, green bean casserole, "bunny" cake, and nest egg cookies) and we were very stuffed the rest of the day. Susan put together a little Easter egg hunt for the kids. Evan and Katherine just sat in one spot.... so there wasn't much "hunting" going on there! Elizabeth found most of the eggs and helped Jordyn find eggs too. Here are some photos of the egg hunt:

March Race #3 & Ambulance Ride!

Note: the ambulance ride had nothing to do with the race!

This past Saturday was the Birch Bay International Road Race that my friend Jeni and I raced in. (It is located in the very northwest tip of Washington... just miles from the Canadian border.... hence the "international" race name.) We headed up on Friday afternoon and ate dinner and visited with her in-laws that live near Seattle. Then we drove about another hour and stayed the night in Bellingham. Luckily it wasn't raining on Saturday morning. We had some awesome scenery for our run. It was 9 miles of running right along the shoreline of the bay and then also through part of Birch Bay State Park. As you can see in the photo below, Jeni and I tied for the silver medal..... ok I lied, everyone got medals! We had a great time and even got some super cool running socks... ha! After the race we headed back towards Seattle and did a little shopping. Jeni's mother-in-law, who works as a hairstylist, was nice enough to take some time and cut and highlight my hair. After we did that, we took off and went home! It was nice to get away and just relax and have fun. I'm sure some people think running a race is definitely not relaxing!

Our lives got pretty crazy earlier in the week. On Tuesday, Jordyn had a pretty big seizure at school. Surprisingly, this is the first one she has had while at school. They called us first, but thought it was severe enough that they should also call 911. They described the seizure to me, but since I really wasn't 100% sure what the seizure was like, we did not mind them calling 911. Better safe than sorry. When we got to the school, there was a fire truck and paramedics already there. The ambulance arrived at the same time as us. Needless to say, it was quite the scene! We got to her class and we could tell right away that she had indeed had a bad seizure. But, the really bad part was over and she was already asleep (which always happens right after her big seizures... and then she sleeps the rest of the day). The paramedics thought she should go to the ER and get checked out. So I rode with Jordyn in the ambulance and we went to the hospital. It was Jordyn's first time riding in an ambulance and mine too! They checked Jordyn at the ER and asked us a million questions. They thought Jordyn had one of her big seizures because of the medication changes we have recently been making. We talked to her neuro. and he just recommended increasing one of her meds. and meeting with him soon. And since her post-seizure behavior was pretty typical and familiar to us... they sent us home (4 hrs. later!) . So, it really wasn't anything too out of the ordinary... just the fact that she was at school when it happened made it a pretty wild day!
During the ambulance ride, they gave me a teddy bear to give to Jordyn when she woke up. I started thinking about all of the stuffed animals Jordyn has accumulated over the past 4 years during doctor visits, special appointments, and procedures. I got them all out and took a picture of her and the stuffed animals together. You would think she would have even MORE stuffed animals considering all of the stuff she has gone through, but we would go broke! I guess we will do anything to try and make her feel better!
You'll notice in Jordyn's stuffed animal photo that her face rash is back with a vengeance. We finally got the OK from the pediatrician to take her to a dermatologist! They couldn't get her in for 3 weeks so that's a bummer. But, I am very anxious to see if they can find a solution!

And just a side note... I think we all need to harass Tom about his recent LACK of blogging. He has gone an entire MONTH without writing anything. Now he will have to blog six times in April to make up for his "New Year's Resolution" of blogging three times per month. So come on Tom.... we all want to hear from you!

Party Time

Jordyn and Evan's Birthday

(CLICK ON PHOTO TO SEE MORE!)

Well, last night was the big birthday party! On Jordyn's birthday (Tues.) she took some pudding snacks to school for her classmates. We let her open her cards and big present that night .... a food processor! I think she might be the first 4 year old to get a food processor for her B-day! We had decided awhile ago that we needed to feed Jordyn healthier meals and not so many pre-made foods. A lot of the meals I make for us are just too difficult for Jordyn to eat and too hard to smash up! So, my parents went in on a food processor with us. And last night, Jordyn got to eat pizza for the first time! We called it "pizza mush" and she loved it!

Last night we had the Kovich family, Katie Kovich (Kurt's sister), and Jeni & Jeff Christiansen over. Jordyn and Evan opened all their presents first. A few things they got: cards & money, clothing, puzzle, swim suits/sunglasses, assortment of sports balls, walk n' ride toy, music dvd/cd, and books. Then the kids got to eat their devil's food cake with cream cheese frosting. I kept the decorating simple.... no animal shaped cakes this year. They had fun eating their cake and ice cream. Evan loved it, but actually didn't get too messy. I thought he would be covered in it, but he was nice and kept fairly clean! It was a great day and it's always a little sad when their birthdays are over. Thank you everyone for the gifts and cards... we have such awesome family and friends!

Through The Years & March Race # 2

Race report: Susan and I ran the 5 mile "Rapid Rabbit Run" on Saturday. It was great weather for a run! My time was 44:59 and I got 10th out of 14 in my age group. Not as great as our last run... but oh well! This race was also a qualifying race for the famous "Bloomsday Run". If you beat a certain time you would qualify to start closer to the starting line at the Bloomsday race.... there are over 50,000 runners and walkers! (Sadly, it is on a Sunday so I won't be running in it!)So, there seemed to be a lot of good runners at this race... that is my excuse for not placing as well this time! March race #3 is in two weeks... check back for results and photos. I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but I have a goal of running twelve races this year... one for every month. Couldn't find a race in January and in February we missed our race because we had TERRIBLE snowy weather the day of the race and we had to drive about 45 min. away! So, this month I am running for January, February, and March and then I will be caught up.

This week (Tuesday and Wednesday) is Jordyn and Evan's birthdays! I am always so excited for them to have their birthdays. It's fun to buy them presents, make them a cake, and have a little party. I can't wait to see what Evan does when we give him cake for the first time. He is such a little pig right now (you will notice in his last picture below that he has gained weight!), I am sure he is going to down his cake in no time at all! We even made him wait to have cake and didn't give him any at his neice, Katherine's, party! Are we mean or what? After much deliberation, we decided to "officially" celebrate both of their birthdays on Wednesday with a party. I am sure we will end up doing something special just for Jordyn on her big day too. I will post photos of their party later in the week. In honor of their birthdays, I organized some photos of the two of them growing up. It is always so fun looking back at the pictures of when they were born and seeing how much they have changed and grown. It always makes you want to cry! Just click on each of the photos below and it will take you to their photo collages.

March Race #1

On Saturday, Susan and I ran the Leprechaun Scurry in Couer d'Alene, ID. It was 3 miles long, starting at North Idaho College and running on Lake Couer d'Alene (photo #1). It was a little chilly, but the great view helped distract you from the cold. We were pretty excited to try and improve our time from the 3 mile race we ran in the fall. And we did beat it.... by a LOT! In the fall we ran the 3 mile race in 28:49 and yesterday we ran it in 25:19! That is an improvement of 3:31. Needless to say, we were pretty happy. In my age group I got 7 out of 24. And for overall women, we got 18 and 19 out of 144! Susan was lucky enough to win a raffle price.... $15.00 gift card to a running store. We headed over there after the race and looked around and she bought a few things. We had a lot of fun! Our next race (5 mile) is in two weeks, so check back for the details.

Happy Birthday Tom AKA Frank!

Wow, Tom is getting so old! He will turn 28 years old tomorrow. (no offense to anyone who is older than 28) And what better to do on your husband's birthday than embarrass him! I pulled out some of his old photos and thought it would be fun to see him growing up through the years. What a great husband, father, and person Tom is. I am so lucky to be married to him! Love ya Tom and Happy Birthday!

The day he was born. Very cute baby!

Such a cute little blonde boy. (I hope the Tom's family
doesn't mind me posting this photo!)

Your probably wondering what he is doing in this photo.... your guess is as good as mine!
Wow, ok, Tom will have some explaining to do about this photo.
When I found this I couldn't resist posting it! I think this
was in highschool. (I will be expecting retaliation on my B-day)

On his mission in SLC. So handsome!
