Welcome 2009

I love our New Year's Eve tradition. We get together with all the family who is in town, eat finger foods, and play games. This year it was my mom and dad, Todd, Susan and Kurt(and their two girls), and Kurt's mom Jane. Tom wasn't able to drive up which I was really bummed about!

I really LOVE our dinner of finger foods. I have to say it may be one of my favorite meals of the whole year. It varies from year to year, but this year a few of the foods we had were: pigs in a blanket, lil' smokies, deviled eggs, stuffed mushrooms, crackers w/ jalapeno artichoke dip, bread w/chicken salad, cranberry almond green salad, fruit, veggies and dip, and dessert too.

We played Bingo with the kids and then the adults played train track dominoes and Apples to Apples.

My mom and dad playing dominoes.

Elizabeth and Jane playing Bingo.

Evan just wanted to spin the Bingo numbers.

BINGO!

Happy New Year!

What a cute tradition! It is so nice to have something to do with family. My family makes a special Dutch treat and watches movies until midnight. It's just fun to be together.

Hey Emily..I mean Mrs. Bybee,
It was so good to get your address and picture. It made my Christmas Holiday better! I spent most of the holiday taking care of my leg...I fell down some stairs at our appartment (we are on the third floor). I didn't break it lukily but did bruise the bone pretty good and sprang my ankle really good too.
Your New Years sounds great! My family has always gotten together too. It is my brother-in-law's birthday and the first date Branden and I went on. We go out for dinner, church and then over to my sisters where we have a ton of finger foods like chips and dip, tortilia wraps, crackers, bread with dip, pumkin pie, apple pie and lots more! After we stuff ourselves, we get into groups and play a lot of games such as, Quelf, Apples to Apples, Catch Phrase, and others. There are so many people that there are probably 4 or 6 groups of 6. It is a blast to have your family and friends around to share the end of one year and the start of another. I am sorry that Tom...I mean, Mr. Bybee couldn't be there but I am sure you and the family was in his heart! Thank you again for sending the address and picture. I miss Jordyn and all of you very much and will write more later. I will also include some pics from the wedding...if you'd like. If you'd like to email me you can at abmcarter@gmail.com.

Take care and I will write soon!
Mrs. Andy

We inherited an old-time Bingo game and the kids love to spin it around too! I think a dinner of fingerfoods is a great tradition. Great memories!
