I think right now (it changes throughout the year) my favorite is "So You Think You Can Dance?". There happens to be a mormon kid on there that we are hoping will win. And it is hilarious to watch the tryouts and see all the psycho people that really think they are good dancers!

Shut up! Which one's Mormon, Benji? He'd be my guess. Oops, guess I just gave it away - I've been watching it while I run on the treadmill the past couple of weeks. Another good one to watch on the treadmill is The Biggest Loser. Anyway, my favorite regular one is The Amazing Race, but I'm getting disappointed that they don't edit out some of the language. However, my absolute favorites are the ones made by PBS called Frontier House, Colonial House and 1900 House. They take modern-day families and put them on the Montana Frontier (Frontier House), 1600's colonial settlements in Maine (Colonial House) and a 1900 Victorian house in London (1900 House). We want to buy them all so when our kids complain about how rough they have it we can say "Oh, yea? We'll check this out." Then make them watch all six hours of each one to see how rough they could have had it. (sorry to blab on)

I second everything Chris said. I also think that all these weird talent shows showing up this summer are terrible (The One, Talented Kids, Regis's talent show). American Idol and Amazing Race are still my favorite.

I don't have a favorite, but I have one I do not like and that is "The Apprentice." I think it teaches backstabbing, not good business practices. A few Relief Society sisters could teach them a thing or two about working together and getting a project done.

I liked American Inventor, I like all the "talent" shows in the audition portion of the series because it's hilarious who thinks they have talent... why do their parents have to lie to them?

I don't have a favorite. I have watched some of them only once. Hadn't even heard of "The One" and "Talented Kids." Like Mom, I don't really like The Apprentice. Makes me nervous. These are supposed to be some of the top minds in the country? (And no, I couldn't do better.)

I agree on The Apprentice and the back-stabbing thing. However, I do watch it because I think it's a pretty accurate study in real-life business. Working for a large public company, I see far too many similar situations day-to-day and I like seeing a variety of management styles, and lack thereof, and the effects they have on workgroup dynamics. (wow, that made me sound kinda smart)
